From a Small Beginning to a Growing Dream

Every business starts with a dream. For VLA Events & Catering Services, that dream began with a simple desire—to serve good food, create beautiful events, and provide clients with a service they could trust. Before it became VLA, the business was known as Liquid Lemon Events & Catering Services. What started on a smaller scale gradually became an opportunity to do something bigger: to turn a passion for food, events, and organizing into a growing and meaningful business. In 2022, VLA officially began its journey.

The early years were filled with learning, adjustments, challenges, and countless moments of figuring things out along the way. There were events that went smoothly, while others tested the team's patience, strength, creativity, and ability to solve problems under pressure. But every event became a lesson, every client became an opportunity to improve, and every successful event became a reminder that the dream was worth pursuing.

In 2023, the business took another important step and officially embraced the name VLA Events & Catering Services. The rebranding represented more than just a change of name; it marked a new direction and a bigger vision—to build VLA into more than just a catering company, but a one-stop events partner. From its beginnings in catering, VLA gradually expanded its services to include buffet catering, food packs, party trays, grazing tables, food carts, mobile bar services, LED wall rentals, lights and sounds, stage rentals, live feed services, event logistics, and event coordination.

The journey was not always easy. Behind every beautifully arranged buffet, every perfectly timed program, every LED wall, and every successful event are long hours of preparation, countless checklists, last-minute changes, tired crews, unexpected problems, and decisions that have to be made quickly. But it is also in those challenging moments where the heart of VLA was built. VLA grew because of the people behind it—the team members who stayed, learned, worked hard, adapted, and continued to show up even when the work was difficult.

VLA also grew because of the clients who trusted us. We are especially grateful to those who gave us opportunities when we were still finding our place in the industry. Their trust allowed us to learn, improve, and prove what VLA could do. From small gatherings, VLA eventually found itself serving corporate events, medical and professional conferences, postgraduate courses, academic activities, private celebrations, and large-scale events. With every opportunity came another chance to prove that a growing business can deliver with professionalism, creativity, dedication, and heart.

Today, VLA has grown far beyond where it started. We have expanded our services, strengthened our team, invested in equipment and capabilities, and built relationships with clients and partners who continue to believe in what we do. We are proud of how far we have come, but we also recognize that this is only the beginning. Our journey is not defined only by the number of events we have handled or the services we have added. It is defined by the people we have met, the experiences we have gained, the challenges we have overcome, and the trust that our clients continue to give us.

Four Years of VLA

In 2026, VLA celebrates its 4th year. Four years may seem short compared to established companies, but for us, these four years represent countless events, long nights, early mornings, lessons learned, problems solved, friendships built, clients served, and dreams that slowly became reality. Four years represent the courage to start, the strength to continue, and the determination to keep growing. VLA is not just a business. It is a dream that continues to grow, a team that continues to learn, and a commitment to provide better food, better service, and better experiences.

Most importantly, VLA is a reminder that sometimes, you do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes, you simply need to start, keep learning, keep showing up, and keep believing in what you are building.

Our dream for VLA is bigger than where we are today. We want to continue expanding our network, creating opportunities for our team, improving our systems, and becoming a trusted go-to events and catering partner for both social and corporate occasions. We dream of a VLA that can create opportunities not only for the business, but also for the people who work with us.
